The Oaks Civil Upgrade for BC Hydro, Telus, Shaw

In the first quarter of 2021, Terra was awarded the Oaks civil
upgrade for all the new BC Hydro, Telus, and Shaw work.
This project involved 4 phases of work and was a critical task to
obtain occupancy and power for the new Oaks development. In
total, Terra installed over 300 m of BC Hydro, Telus, and Shaw
utilities. This project involved detailed coordination between the
client, the municipality, the public, and inspectors for BC Hydro,
Telus, and Shaw.
Challenges Terra overcame included dealing with incorrect as-built
for existing gas line, locating existing buried Telus conduits, and
coordinating the work with the general contractor.
