Project Owner: City of Maple Ridge
Terra was awarded the Maple Ridge Culvert Replacement on 132 Ave by the City of Maple Ridge.
This project involved Terra removing two 25 m long, 1500 mm diameter corrugated steel pipe and replacing them with two 25 m long, 2400 x 1500 mm box culverts manufactured by Ocean Concrete. The culverts ran perpendicular to 132 Ave, a two-lane road, and required alternating traffic to keep the Avenue open.
Terra was tasked to complete this project within the extended fishery window in September / October. The culverts were installed underneath the existing utilities. Terra tackled each culvert aggressively, provided extensive stream flows management, and completed the project before heavy rainfall occurred.
Key Highlights:
- Offsite civil and road reconstruction
- Extensive stream flows management
- Fish bearing stream – environmentally sensitive site
- Completed within strict fishery window
- Installed 50m of large box culverts
