Canadian Pacific Railway – Vancouver Intermodal Facility Lot 1 Truck Chasses Capacity Expansion

Subcontracted by Lafarge Canada, Terra Contracting was awarded
with the installation of the drainage system for the CP VIF Lot.

The drainage system involved multiple oil-grit separators,
manholes, catch basins, and headwall. Over 500m of reinforced
concrete pipe was installed along with over 1,300m of subdrain.
In addition, Terra performed majority of excavation, grading, and
backfill for the parking facility. Terra was tasked with performing
the work efficiently, and achieved the target of completing the
work before the end of summer. Also, while the project location
was in an active freight truck facility, Terra was able to cooperate
with the cargo yard management team and complete the project
with the utmost emphasis on safety.
