Park House Living Phase 1 & 2 – Excavation and Shoring

Terra Contracting was awarded the Park House Living Phase 1 and 2 project located near the Cambie St and W 58th Ave intersection in Vancouver. This project featured two identical 6-story residential buildings directly adjacent to one another. Both buildings required an excavation depth of 8 m and 4 – 5 rows of anchors with shotcrete. The geotechnical consultant for this project were GeoPacfic.
For this project, Terra excavated and hauled approximately 12,000 m3 of soil each dig, totaling to 24,000 m3 for the entire project. Both buildings were excavated simultaneously and each site had a 350 size excavator and a 290 size excavator. In total, 24,000 sf of shotcrete were installed along with 11,000 lf of conventional anchor.
